Home/Land Owner seeks beekeeper for 34 acres - for tax reasons and preservation of bee's and harvest of honey. We know nothing about Bee's so the Beekeeper will need to provide everything necessary to raise Bee's on our property.

3 years agoHi I'm a beekeeper from granbury, and would be interested. First thing, have you checked with your appraisal district about the exemption? If im not mistaken you only recieve exemption on 5-20 acres, only after five years of production. I would charge 10 a month per hive required, which should be six hives.

3 years agoWill, thank you for your contact. I will need to look into this from the County. I think you are correct about 20 acres - but not sure about the 5 year for production. We are in our 4th year to qualify for Ag - with a cattle lease. We are not certain if Bee’s would help us at all. Back to you.
