I'm a veteran participating in the Heroes to Hives program. I live in Kansas City, MO proper, and there is a nuisance ordinance here which doesn't prevent me from having bees, but it does make it relatively easy for a neighbor to complain and cause me to have to remove them.
I'm seeking someone who has a quieter corner of their land on which I might set 3-4 hives. Bees don't care about acreage, they will happily fly anywhere, so the size of the land is not important. I would like to avoid overtly agricultural land where pesticides may be an issue. Water nearby is good, vehicle access (within reason) also good.
Ideally, we can come to an agreement where if the ladies are productive I can share some honey at the end of the season. Otherwise, there are of course Ag tax credits for which the hives may make you eligible. Again, ideally, you will be somewhat near the 435/35/210 area outside of Liberty but I'm more than willing to drive. Smithville is good, Louisburg, KS, not so great. :)
As I don't currently have hives, this is likely to be a springtime 2022 deal, although if you want the tax credits this year we can work something out.
